So, 8 months has passed since I last blogged... where does the time go I ask?  It doesn't seem like it's been 8 months already.  But to be honest, I haven't been able to crochet much lately and in fact I don't think I've finished a project since the last one in September.  I have every intention of working on a few different baby blankets for ladies at work who will be having babies soon.  There are 5 women pregnant right now ~ I've been told to steer clear of the water :-)  No problem I say, I'm totally in love with my Emilee and enjoy every second I spend with her.  I'm just not ready to have another one right now, maybe in 2 more years or so.

I've gone back to work since January and let me just tell you how hard it was leaving Emilee at daycare :-(  and of course she being 8 months old at that time, she was in the throws of separation/stranger anxiety.  She has now outgrown that and totally loves daycare.  That makes Mommy happy.  She just had her 1st birthday... a year already?!?!!  I can't believe it!  I swear, it seems like it was just yesterday when I was pregnant and having her.

Here's Emilee now at 1 year old :-)

I promise not to wait another 8 months to update my blog... I'll write more later.

Aghhh, I finished my first project since the baby arrived in April and I mailed it off to the lucky person today and I forgot to take a picture :-(  I hate when I do that!!  Maybe once she receives it, she'll take a picture for me... but for now, here's the link to the pattern and the yarn of course was in pinks and purples since she's expecting a little one of her own very soon!  I made the same blanket awhile back for my brother who was expecting a little boy (my nephew was born June of this year) and here's the picture of that blanket...

I just absolutely love this yarn and the blanket works up so quick and easily.  I did add an extra strand of white Baby Coordinates so that it was easier to see the stitches but it turned out great ~ in my humble opinion!

Now, onto the cutest, most precious little person in the world...  Miss Emilee Michelle, who turned 5 months old yesterday :-)

By the way, this next picture is LONG overdue, Julie (yarngirl) was so great to make Emilee her very first crochet blanket (she sleeps with it every single night)... Thank you Julie, it's beautiful!

And lastly, now that I'm slowly getting back into crochet since Emilee is getting older... it's time to see what swaps are going on at Crochetville ~ wow, I've missed crocheting, what a relaxing hobby!!!!!!!

Still here

Yes, I'm still here... I haven't really had time to blog about crochet (or anything for that matter), in fact, I haven't even picked up a crochet hook in 3 months!!  :-(  I have a bit of withdrawal from it!

Life has been great, we're having such a blast and it's such a wonderful, unexplainable experience.  Emilee is growing like a weed and is already 9 weeks old.  I can't believe it.  She weighs 11lbs and is 22 inches now.  I'm a bit tired, but that was expected and it's well worth it!  I SHALL SLEEP AGAIN ONE DAY!!!!

Here are some recent pictures of both Emilee and our puppy Bella (we got Bella just a month before Emilee was born)... are we crazy? is it hectic, chaotic??  YES, but we're having fun!!
